For Gulf State poultry and dairy producers, a more useful question is not only whether Omega-3 belongs in the ration, but when targeted Omega-3 nutrition may create the greatest biological and commercial value.
Broiler Breeders
An anti-inflammatory, stress-reducing broiler breeder feeding program begins before hatch. University of Guelph (Canada) research conducted from 2020 to 2024, with O&T Farms support, reported that targeted Omega-3 feeding increased yolk Omega-3 deposition and was associated with higher progeny body weight (BW) and improved feed conversion ratio (FCR). Dairy
Timing is equally relevant to dairy production and health.
