The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) is projecting a GDP growth rate of 4.7% for the Kingdom’s economy in 2025. These projections are well above the global growth average of 3.2%. Major contribution to this exceptional growth is made by the agriculture sector that will reach over $31 Billion in 2024.  The growth is driven by investments of $70 Billion by 2030.

The 41st edition of the Saudi Agriculture exhibition was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. The minister was welcomed by H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Riyadh Exhibitions Company, the organisers of the largest agricultural exhibition in the Middle East. As part of the inauguration ceremony, Minister Al- Fadley oversaw the signing of 12 agricultural agreements between local and international partners worth over SAR 800 Million.

The event, taking place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, runs from Monday 21st October to Thursday 24 October 2024. The exhibition is showcasing the latest advancements in agricultural technology, innovative solutions and sustainable practices for the Kingdom’s expanding agricultural sector that is aligned with national policy priorities, as outlined in Vision 2030.

This year’s exhibition brings together over 370 exhibitors from 29 countries around the globe, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing agricultural production through technological transformation that will boost food security. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and diversification, the exhibition serves as a vital platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to connect and share insights.

The exhibition features a diverse range of activities, including the ‘Future of Agriculture International Summit’, with keynote speeches from industry experts, an array of panel discussions, and workshops covering topics such as food security, precision agriculture, water management, and organic farming. Attendees can see a wide range of innovations, technologies, products and services, for agricultural sub-sectors including greenhouses, vertical farming, automation, AI, agricultural drones, poultry, livestock, dairy, mills, and animal feeds, in addition to agro-foods, organic foods, aquaculture, food processing and packaging, animal health, and veterinary services.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, Saudi Agriculture 2024 will also highlight initiatives aimed at promoting eco-friendly practices and reducing the environmental impact of agriculture.
