The Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA)–Poultry India successfully organised a Curtain-Raiser Media Meet on Thursday, 8 October 2026, at Hotel The Park, Parliament Street, New Delhi. The gathering brought together senior officials from the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, leaders of national poultry associations, farmer and breeder bodies, agri-tech and digital influencers, poultry media, and major national media houses.

The event formally announced the dates, scale and intent of the 18th Poultry India Expo 2026 — the world’s largest poultry exhibition — and extended a warm invitation to the entire poultry fraternity to join the gathering in Hyderabad.

Key dignitaries present included Dr. Tarun Shridhar, IAS (Former Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying), Dr. H.R. Khanna (Joint Commissioner, National Livestock Mission), Prof. Dr. P.K. Shukla (President, Indian Poultry Science Association), Dr. Artabandhu Sahoo (Director, ICAR–National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology), Shri Citturi Suresh Rayadu (Chairman, CII Committee on Animal Agriculture), Shri Ricky Thaper (Joint Secretary, Poultry Federation of India), Shri Mohit Malik (President, Broiler Breeders Association – North), Shri Nisaar F. Mohammad (Honorary Secretary, CLFMA of India), Shri Nawab Ali Akbar (President, Uttar Pradesh Poultry Farmer Association), Dr. Shirish Nigam, Shri O.P. Singh and other senior stakeholders from across the value chain.

The IPEMA team was led by President Mr. Uday Singh Bayas, accompanied by Founder-Former President Shri Anil Dhumal along with General Secretary Mr. Ramaswamy Natarajan and Treasurer Mr. M. Srikanth.

Uday Singh Bayas, President, IPEMA–Poultry India, addressing the gathering, said:

“We have come to Delhi with a simple purpose — to place before the nation, and before the media that carries the nation’s conversation, the dates, the scale and the intent of the 18th Poultry India Expo 2026, the world’s largest poultry exhibition, and to invite every stakeholder to Hyderabad. India’s poultry industry is on a remarkable growth path. Together, we can shape the future of India’s poultry sector and take a confident step towards Viksit Bharat.”

He highlighted India’s strong position as the world’s second-largest egg producer (142.77 billion eggs in 2023–24) and one of the top four broiler-producing nations, with the chicken meat sector growing at 8–10 per cent and eggs at 6–8 per cent annually. He emphasised that this growth has been powered by farmers, integrators, breeders, veterinarians, scientists and Indian MSME equipment manufacturers, supported by enabling government programmes.
