Innovad Group, a global leader in animal health and nutrition solutions, has entered a long-term exclusive supply agreement for butyric acid with ChainCraft, a front-runner in the production of sustainable chemicals of food waste. Through this collaboration, ChainCraft will supply fatty acids of high purity to Innovad, enabling production of low carbon advanced feed additives that support both animal intestinal health and environmental sustainability.

This partnership not only promotes sustainability within the animal feed industry but also creates a unique synergy between two innovators. At Innovad Group, we are committed to delivering natural, science-backed feed solutions that improve animal welfare and performance, while minimizing environmental impact. Our portfolio helps farmers worldwide lower disease occurrence, mortality and feed requirements, ultimately improving both animal welfare and the sustainability of their operations. By partnering with ChainCraft and integrating their cutting-edge fermentation technology, which transforms organic residues into high-value short and medium chain fatty acids, we gain access to a sustainable alternative to traditional fossil and palm oil-based products. This further strengthens our ability to deliver effective, low-carbon solutions to the market.

Strengthening animal health with sustainable innovation

By integrating ChainCraft’s bio-based fatty acids into its product portfolio, Innovad aims to enhance the health and nutrition of livestock while reducing dependency on non-renewable resources. “Our strategic collaboration with ChainCraft allows us to pioneer the use of sustainable, upcycled, high-quality ingredients into our feed solutions, directly contributing to healthier animals and more sustainable farming practices,” said Ben Letor, CEO of Innovad Group. “This partnership reflects our commitment to provide innovative products that meet the growing needs for better, circular solutions in Animal nutrition.

A European innovation and collaboration

Both companies represent the forefront of European innovation, combining technological expertise with a shared vision of sustainability. “Working with Innovad is a perfect fit for us,” said Marc den Hartog, CEO of ChainCraft. “Their dedication to natural and effective animal health solutions aligns with our mission to create value from locally available natural resources. Together, we’re setting new standards for sustainability in animal health.”

The agreement highlights the growing demand for sustainable, deforestation-free solutions and the power of collaboration to drive industry-wide change. With this partnership, ChainCraft and Innovad are poised to make a lasting impact on both animal health and environmental stewardship.
