Dr. Eckel kicks off 2024 World Tour with a strong start in Baku

Dr. Eckel Animal Nutrition has successfully started its 2024 World Tour with an inspiring conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. Bringing together over 100 professionals from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, the gathering marked the beginning of an exciting series focused on the future of sustainable animal production. Participants expressed their enthusiasm for the innovative approaches discussed, praising the dynamic atmosphere, valuable insights and the opportunity to contribute to a truly enriching exchange.

A promising start to the 2024 World Tour

The event was not only a platform for cutting-edge presentations but also an opportunity for participants to engage in vibrant discussions, making the gathering a unique and memorable experience. Attendees contributed to lively conversations that highlighted the importance of sustainability in the livestock industry. As the guests emphasised, the World Tour conference was a rare opportunity to witness forward-thinking innovations that will drive the future of livestock production. In particular, the knowledge shared on phytogenics, according to the feedback, provided strategic insights that would undoubtedly contribute to future success.

Official guests honour Dr. Eckel with their presence

The Dr. Eckel team was particularly honoured by the presence of Mr. Tarlan Asgarov, Head of the Livestock Organization and Monitoring Department at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as Mr. Heiko Schwarz, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Azerbaijan; and Ms. Aytekin Sirayzade, Acting / Deputy Executive Director of the German Chamber of Foreign Trade in Azerbaijan. Their attendance added considerable value to the event and emphasised the potential for further partnership-based exchange for the future success of the economic and agricultural sectors of both countries.

Inspiring presentations captivate the audience

The conference featured a number of insightful presentations, starting with Managing Director Dr. Viktor Eckel on Sustainability as strategy: Winning the future of livestock production. In his keynote speech, Viktor Eckel emphasised the importance of anchoring sustainability in corporate strategies. His clear message was that this is the key to securing long-term success in the livestock industry.Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Windisch, Professor emeritus at the Technical University of Munich, delivered the engaging lecture, Can we do without livestock? Why the circular economy is the only way to feed the world. His captivating, forward-looking presentation made it unmistakably clear to all participants why we must rely on the principles of the circular economy in order to be able to feed the growing world population sustainably and safely.

Dr. Elisabeth Holl, Senior Technical Manager and one of the most experienced experts in the Dr. Eckel team, focused her presentation Straight from the gut: Sustainable success in poultry production on improving gut health in poultry. She highlighted the central role of the digestive system for sustainable and efficient production and presented a product solution that can achieve convincing results on a natural basis.The program culminated with Vice President Dr. Bernhard Eckel presenting 12 Reasons why you should use Anta®Phyt. His detailed insight into the powerful benefits of Dr. Eckel’s flagship phytogenic product clearly and concisely illustrated how Anta®Phyt can increase production performance while ensuring sustainability.

A rich program in a vibrant location

The participants in Baku also enjoyed a live product experience during which they were able to discover Dr Eckel’s innovative solutions first-hand. A dinner in the culturally rich surroundings of Baku and a guided sightseeing tour through the historic old town with the opportunity to experience the beauty and heritage of the host city rounded off the program.

The success of the Baku event marked a promising start to Dr. Eckel’s 2024 World Tour. Following the Baku event, Dr. Eckel’s 2024 World Tour will continue with stops in Mexico and Germany, further promoting sustainability and resilience in animal nutrition worldwide.
