STALDREN® has been appreciated as an effective dry disinfectant powder for more than 25 years. It not only reduces moisture & ammonia levels but its active ingredient is effective against a broad range of harmful pathogens affecting poultry, dairy and equine health & productivity. STALDREN® contains no phosphorous, is pH neutral & non-corrosive and does not damage skin & membranes. It is safe to use throughout the production cycle.
Using STALDREN® to improve hygiene is a preventive measure and its introduction in the Middle East region is most timely as governments increasingly restricts use of potentially immune causing antibiotics in animal production.
Many broiler operations, e.g. in Brazil, extensively uses STALDREN® in their efforts to minimize Salmonella presence in bedding while at the same time greatly reduce foot pad damage stemming from ammonia presence and infections. This in turn results in less disease, mortality & treatment costs, and as an added benefit more revenue can be realised from better quality chicken feet sales.
In Layer (cage) houses where red mites often pose problems STALDREN® also can be used to dust the house, either weekly or bi-weekly. An added benefit carrying out dusting of the cages is that a degree of disinfection with residual effect occurs simultaneously. STALDREN® also is ideal for maintaining hygienic conditions in nest boxes.
In dairy operations STALDREN® is widely used to help reduce mastitis incidence and lame leg problems. Apart from being used in cow resting and traffic areas, it also is a very important aid in maintaining critical hygiene levels in hospital pens, and in calf pens both for individual and group housing. Healthy female calves are a very important pre-requisite for raising productive dairy cows in a timely & cost effective manner and the value of good hygiene cannot be overestimated.
