Avivagen Inc. (TSXV:VIV, OTCQB:VIVXF) (“Avivagen”) a life sciences corporation focused on developing and commercializing immune-system improving products for livestock, companion animal and human applications, is pleased to announce that it has received approval from The Ministry of Agriculture-Feed Additives Division for the immediate use of OxC-beta™ Livestock in poultry, swine and cattle (beef and dairy) in Brazil. With regulatory approval secured, Avivagen has also signed a distribution agreement with established São Paulo-based Look Chemicals Importacao E Exportacao LTDA for the use of OxC-betaTM Livestock in poultry and swine.

Brazil is the world’s third largest production market, producing 69mm tonnes of livestock feed each year, and a key exporter to regions such as Europe that have previously implemented bans against the use of antibiotics in livestock feed. With the addition of regulatory approval in Brazil, OxC-betaTM Livestock is now approved for use in nine markets worldwide, including the United States, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.
